GSE Traceability
Tracing food and pharmaceutical products through the supply chain is essential for protecting consumers, and the requirements extend to the packaging — including the inks printed on it. The optional GSE Traceability module helps you meet them.
Within Good Manufacturing Practice, traceability is treated as a key means of protecting end-user health and safety: when a contaminated end product is found, it is the most effective way to identify the root cause and recall what is affected.
Inside GSE Traceability
Batch numbers end to end
Batch IDs are recorded from raw material to finished package, so the materials behind any reported package can be identified.
Inks logged on arrival
Batch number IDs are recorded as inks arrive from the supplier, then traced into the customer or internal orders they are processed in.
Fresh dispensed inks
Container IDs, formulas, order numbers, production dates and expiry dates are held for every dispensed ink.
Return inks too
The same record — container IDs, formulas, storage locations and expiry dates — is kept for reused press returns.
